Schweitzer Mountain offers an incredible mountain biking experience with over 40 miles of diverse trails catering to all skill levels. The bike park features rugged, old-school downhill trails as well as cross-country loops, accessed primarily via the Great Escape Quad, which climbs 1,700 vertical feet. Riders can enjoy everything from flowy berms, jumps, and rock gardens to technical challenges on intermediate to expert-level terrain.
For extended adventures, the Highpoint Trail connects Schweitzer to the nearby Little Sand Creek Basin trail system, providing over 4,000 vertical feet of continuous descent. The scenic rides include vast views of the Selkirk Mountains and Lake Pend Oreille. Schweitzer’s mountain biking encompasses both lift-served downhill thrills and extensive singletrack options, with bike rentals available in the village for convenience. This mix of terrain and natural beauty makes Schweitzer a premier mountain biking destination in Idaho and all of the PNW.

The Village
Schweitzer Village at Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a vibrant hub offering premium lodging, dining, shopping, and entertainment. The village features ski-in/ski-out accommodations such as the classic Selkirk Lodge with an outdoor pool and hot tubs, as well as the newer Humbird boutique hotel with mountain views and modern amenities.
